Our Attorney Has The Experience You Want

Our attorney at Edwards Law Firm in Roanoke is just such an attorney. He has tremendous experience, for over 40 years, in a large range of legal areas. Our lawyer has handled cases on a wide variety of topics, from sophisticated commercial litigation, state and federal appeals, defending white collar crime prosecutions and complex personal injury matters to estate planning matters for individuals, helping them have the peace of mind and security that their property will pass to their heirs with a minimum of stress and court proceedings.

A Lawyer And A Lawmaker

Our lawyer also has the distinction of being a Virginia state senator, which provides him with yet another level of experience with the law. He is not only experienced working with the laws as an attorney representing individual clients, but he understands the process of crafting law for all the citizens of Virginia.

John S. Edwards is a former JAG officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was the United States Attorney for the Western District of Virginia. He has also served on Roanoke City Council and as Vice Mayor of Roanoke. Today, he is a member of the Virginia Senate. His extensive courtroom experience has been gained in practice in the Virginia state trial courts, the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Virginia Supreme Court, as well as in the federal district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

This experience brings a depth and breadth of knowledge as a lawyer that is valuable to a client, as our attorney can recognize issues and quickly assess the merits of a claim, both for his client and the clients' adversaries, allowing for cost-effective resolutions of matters.
